ROYAL DECREES & PROCLAMATIONS

  • Supply Bill to the Exchequer
    The Queen, by Royal Decree, authorizes a Supply Bill to the Exchequer in the amount of N£1,380 to fund Her Majesty’s Government, effective 14 January 2025.

  • Extension for 2025 Exchequer Report Preparation
    The Queen, by Royal Consent, grants the Secretariat of the Exchequer an additional 90 days to submit its 2025 Exchequer Report—the official Budget of Her Majesty’s Government.

  • Statements of Condolence
    Her Majesty has issued heartfelt messages of condolence to:

    • The People and City of New Orleans on 3 January, following a terrorist attack.

    • The People and City of Los Angeles on 8 January, as fires raged across the city.

ROYAL EVENTS & COURT CIRCULAR

  • Private Luncheon at Queen’s House
    On 31 December 2024, The Queen hosted a private luncheon for Members of the Royal Family and the Royal Household at Queen’s House. This intimate gathering marked the closing of the year and an occasion for Her Majesty to extend gratitude for the year’s accomplishments.

  • Audience with Madame Beth Bloom
    On 6 January 2025, The Queen granted an Audience to Madame Beth Bloom, President of Rainbow Seniors Roc. During this meeting, Her Majesty graciously accepted a position as Royal Patron, underscoring the Crown’s commitment to uplifting the kingdom’s senior communities.

  • Bridal Shower for the Duchess de Camp-Louis
    On 11 January 2025, The Queen, accompanied by the Marquis de Port-Salnave, attended the Bridal Shower of the Duchess de Camp-Louis, Chamberlain of the Navasse, and Monsieur Anthony Sandonato, now Duke de Valèrènne. The event was held in an intimate setting, celebrating the upcoming nuptials of this esteemed couple.

 

NATIONAL NEWS

  • Implementation of a New Constitution

    Her Majesty’s Government is pleased to announce the implementation of a newly ratified Constitution. This foundational charter includes a formal Bill of Rights, expands the powers and prerogatives of the Crown, clarifies the role of Councils, establishes a High Court, and adds significant new articles to strengthen the Kingdom’s governance.

  • Establishing the Royal Bank of Navassa
    The Secretariats of State and the Exchequer confirm they will formally discuss proposals to create the Royal Bank of Navassa, envisioned as the kingdom’s central bank. Government officials highlight the importance of a robust financial institution to manage currency stability and foster economic development.

  • Government Reinstates Two Former Departments

    In a significant organizational move, Her Majesty’s Government has brought back two formerly dissolved departments to strengthen administrative efficiency and national security. These are:

    • The Secretariat of Communication, to oversee official announcements and platforms.

    • The Secretariat of the Royal Household, serving as a chief liaison between the public and the Monarchy.

  • Crown Sirène Coffee Sales Update
    Sales of Crown Sirène Coffee remain on hold, pending further discussions with merchant suppliers. It is hoped that production and distribution will resume in September 2025, as negotiations continue to ensure sustainable, high-quality sourcing.

WORLD NEWS

  • U.S. Honors the Memory of Late President Jimmy Carter
    On 9 January, the United States paid solemn tribute to the late President Jimmy Carter. President Joe Biden led the service, reflecting on Carter’s legacy of humanitarian service and diplomacy, and calling for unity in times of national reflection.

  • Denmark Faces Diplomatic Challenge over Greenland
    Officials in Copenhagen remain unsettled by President-elect Trump’s recent suggestions regarding Greenland’s strategic and economic value. The Danish government has publicly reiterated Greenland’s status within the Kingdom of Denmark and is weighing diplomatic avenues to address any potential claims.

  • U.S. Supreme Court Rejects Hush-Money Case Appeal
    The U.S. Supreme Court denied President-elect Trump’s request to halt sentencing in a hush-money case. Legal experts note that this decision reaffirms the independence of the judiciary and indicates that the court is unlikely to intervene in matters of political controversy without compelling legal merit.
